I had the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with my good friend and long-time collaborator, Alexzander Rosa, on a product photography project for the luxury brand, Aesop. Together, we worked on the project’s direction to visually represent the feeling of freshness and exfoliation that the milled pumice in the product provides. We aimed to convey the meticulous care and attention to detail that Aesop puts into every aspect of their products.

The shoot involved complex lighting techniques to capture the essence of the water in the shots, which proved challenging due to the water’s transparency and the need to create proper shadows against a white background. However, with perseverance, we were able to perfect the lighting to showcase the product in the best possible way.

After the shoot, we spent a considerable amount of time in post-production, meticulously editing and retouching the images to ensure they conveyed the intended message of quality and attention to detail. From color correction to color matching we worked diligently to produce images that accurately represented Aesop’s commitment to excellence.

It was a rewarding experience to see the final images come to life and know that our efforts had successfully captured the essence of the product.
